Backup and Migrate is a very useful module which backs up and restores your Drupal database or migrating data from one Drupal site to another Drupal site. It’s just wise to use it if you don’t wanna curse yourself when you lose data.

TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor is a not the kind of WYSIWYG editor you would ever imagine because of the difficulty in installing and configuring this module. It will test your nerves but if you can do it you will emerge with better understanding if Drupal.

Views is one of the most difficult Drupal module to master but it carries great learning curve with it which will help you enhance your Drupal skills.

There has been trend in last 2-3 years to use beautiful headers which earlier used to be the most neglected element of web design. The header design also happens to be one element which is rather more prone to experimentation. This has led some creative souls to unleash the riot of CSS and HTML in the footers because it’s just so ‘2006′ to use a single line copyright text. This also reminds me that we are also in the process of bringing a new theme for JustSkins which will probably have lot more than just copyright text. It’s not that every web design should have a creative footer but having one doesn’t hurt. Following are some of the cool footer designs which has inspired us, and we hope they will cause you to start giving in some class and authentic imagination in your footer designs.

Edge Point Chruch

This footer is awesome and great for a personal blog as you may link to your Facebook or Myspace profiles so that you may have more web social respect. There are overlap shades and colors which gives it a grungy feel under close inspection.

CSS-Tricks

It is a wide footer which holds a blogroll and the description of the blog author and history along with inevitable twitter bird. The History and BLogroll links display wobble effect when you move the cursor of the mouse over it while the color pattern finishes the slightly compact header.

Dale Harris

The shiny floral designs in this footer are sure to catch the attention of the viewer which is obviously the main purpose behind a designer portfolio website like this.

Missy

The foooter design in this one paralleles the design and feel of the header while directing the reader to other posts. A nice design overall.

Loon Design

The purpose of the website is to showcase the portfolio designs and it shows clearly in the footer as well. Right on target.

Professional webmasters do have to check out the compatibility of their sites across multiple web browsers. Times have changed a lot in last few years because earlier you could excuse by setting it up for Internet Explorer but things are moving quickly out from the IE domain. We will see some browser compatibility tools today so that the header fine intricacies stay intact irrespective of the web browser.

Cross Browser Testing does precisely what it says across multiple web browsers like IE, Firefox, Safari and Camino etc. on various Operating Systems. What makes this service unique from others is that you can do Javascript and AJAX testing using it. You will have to shell out some money to use it though.

Quite often do we bump into some images while doing or daily web browsing that takes our breath away. Photography does have that power but when it comes to creating portraits it takes it to one level above. Digital paintings is turning out to be next frontier for creative souls who are rather more inclined to paint their imaginations in bits and bytes. Let’s see how far we have come in this naive form of art.
