Adobe Air To-Do List Applications

Everybody needs to managing your tasks day to day. So need a task-management applications that are lightweight, simple to use and easy to get started with. Adobe AIR has those in spades. Here are four great Adobe Air To-Do List applications for maintaining your day to day tasks.

Doomi: Doomi provides a simple interface in which users can enter their to-dos which will be added to the list of active to-dos. Checking an active to-do transfers it to the old to-dos which can be shown or hidden in the same interface. By default neither the active nor old to dos are shown in the interface, this can be changed with one mouse click however. A reminder can be set for each to do which will alert the user after some time has passed. The interface does not stay on top all the time and there is unfortunately no configuration menu at all. You cannot set transparency levels for instance or make the application stay on top. What i really would like to see in a new version would be support for hotkeys, transparency and a sticky interface that can be set to be always on top.

KonoLive: KonoLive  is a free group collaboration software for the Adobe Air platform. It has many similarities to Instant Messengers at first glance like the IM-like interface or the ability to add and manage contacts in the application. Everything centers around contacts and activities in the Getting Things Done software. Activities are are tasks at hand that can be defined loosely or in detail depending on the requirements. It takes for example only two clicks and a short test to create a new task in the software. The task can be filled with information at a later time but after its creation it is simply having a name and owner. Your tasks are available offline with the AIR app, and also online thanks to KonoLive.

It’s a perfect, lightweight and simple solution for small groups and businesses with common files, documents and tasks. A complex activity on the other hand adds due dates, reminders, tags, context, additional usrs and contents to the basic information. Each activity can be made up of sub-activities.

MiniTask: MiniTask is a free and easy-to-use application for managing your day to day tasks more efficiently and easily. It helps to organize your tasks better. It supports many useful features like drag ‘n’ drop reorder, alarm timers, printing of pretty task sheets, copying tasks from and to other applications etc. MiniTask is an Adobe AIR based application, so requires Adobe AIR runtime for working. It’s have taken a slightly different approach but again the user interface  is simple and it just stays out of your way.It also supports keyboard shortcuts creating tasks and also for other jobs. It is fully customizable, free and available for Windows, Mac OX and Linux.

Remeber The Milk: Many people already use an application to manage our tasks. If you are a RTM user there are two great AIR applications Remember the Milk Notifier and Remember the Tasks. The Notifier sits in your system tray and reminds you when you have got a task due or overdue. You can set how often you are reminded and even add tasks to RTM through the application. Remeber the task is essentially just a standalone version of the iGoogle gadget for remeber the milk. It sits in your system tray and is easy to access in order to manage your tasks. There is no uniquely incredible features to speak of but i love having RTM accessible through Alt-Tab.

Doomi has been updated to include always on top, custom reminders, start at login, drag and sort to-dos, and more. Grab the latest :)

  2. These are some cool apps. They are really worth trying.
I just downloaded Doomi and so far I love it.
Very simple to use, clean & nice user interface.

In my opinion a to-do-list list app just need to be small and easy to use.
