In last few days we did some articles related to free resources for web designers and basically the resources were limited to website backgrounds. We though a bigger list containing the patterns, free images and free fonts might also add certain tools and web services in your toolbox.
Textures And Patterns
CG Textures : CG Textures is an excellent texture site created by 3D artist Marcel Vijfwinkel . CG Textures is structured to help you quickly find types of textures such as CG Textures Grunge section. Grunge and Nature textures, but if you’re looking for something specific, use the Advanced Search for more specific searches.
Squidfingers Pattern: Squidfingers Patterns is a collection of useful and intricate patterns that you can use as repeating CSS backgrounds or on print work.
Texture King:Â A nice collection of 337 current textures including grunge, dirt, concrete, plaster, rust and more.
Image * After : Here is a large collection of free photos and textures. The site provides images and textures that are available for personal as well as commercial purposes.
Stock Photography
Stock Exchange: Huge collection of high quality, free stock photography. Some images require photographers permission but most photos don’t.
Morguefile: Morgufile contains user-submitted stock photographs contributed by many artists. It has a terrific organization scheme and thumbnail preview for quicker searches. Another highly recommended free stock photography resource site.
Fotosearch Stock Photos: Features millions of images and royalty free photos from more than 150 publishers.
Every Stock Photos: everystockphoto is a search engine for free photos. It currently indexes close to 5 million photos . You can sign up for a free user account so that you can take advantage of nifty site features such as the ability to save collections of photos for future reference.
Stockvault.net: Stockvault.net is another excellent photo-sharing site for designers and photographers. The community boasts almost 14,000 members and over 3,000 photographers ensuring that you’ll have more than plenty of high-quality stock photos to sift through.
Fonts
Creamundo:It is a great place to start searching for free fonts organized in useful ways and easy to view custom samples of prior to downloading. These fonts range from simple and refined to complex and unusual with everything in between.
ShowFonts: Has a likewise extensive collection of free fonts of different kinds.
Urban Fonts: Urban Fonts aren’t all necessarily urban in any traditional sense but many of them are quite interesting and out-of-the-ordinary.
Simply The Best: It has a helpful series of categories that are easy to navigate and understand which, despite their somewhat limited selection makes them worth seeing.
1001 Free Fonts: A large selection of true type fonts for Windows and Macintosh.
Better Fonts: Better Fonts has a large collection of free fonts organized alphabetically and in several categories that include Retro fonts, Graffiti fonts and Handwritten fonts.
Vectors
Free Vector: FreeVectors.net is an online gallery that features free vector graphics by talented graphic artists. The vectors showcased on FreeVectors.net are available for personal and commercial use.
Vecteezy: Vecteezy is a site that indexes free vector graphics by some of the top graphic designers in the world.
QVector: QVectors shares and showcases free, high-quality vector images and artwork from around the web.
Icons
FamFamFam Icons: A Collection of a awesome free Icons.
IconBuffet: One of the best sites for royalty free icons and digital artwork.
Free Icons Web: Free Icons Web is an index of over 15,000 high-quality and free icons for graphic and web designs as well as icons for the desktop. If you’re looking exclusively for icons in GIF format, check out the GIF Icons section.
Icon Archieves: Icon Archive currently hosts 22,000 high-quality desktop and web icon. They have over 800 icon sets from close to 200 icon designers. Some categories on the site include Business Icons, Computer Icons and Vintage Icon.
