Weboholics are strange people, they will talk about anything on web and they need tools to find themselves more topics to engage themselves in. One of the topic of discussion amongst the JustSkins folks is determining the DNA of websites, like what CMS or softwares they are using. There are already some tools available on web but we personally I like to use browser extensions rather than the full fledged applications.

Wappalyzer is a nifty Mozilla Firefox extension which lets you tracks the distribution of software on the web and shows you which CMS, wiki, message board etc. is used on the page you’re currently at. Wappalyzer captures some pixels at the corner of your titlebar and displays the icon of the software that is presently being used on the website you are at a particular moment.
Wappalyzer does a cool job of informing you the details behind the front end of websites.
