2003 Server Print Server
On our Windows 2000 print server, the system event log displays the user
that printed each document. On our Windows 2003 print server, SYSTEM is
displayed as the user for each print job. Is there a way to make it show
the user that printed the document?

Re: 2003 Server Print Server
Hi Homer,
I don't think so, the only way to tell the owner is by reading the
desription of the print job ie: Document 25829 mydoc.doc owned by USERID
was printed on HP etc. etc.
I guess you'd have to use the Find feature in Event Viewer and input the
user name and source of print? /shrug
Too bad, we currently have a NT 4.0 server doing our printing but are in
the process of moving to a 2003 print server, that really does make it a
little more cumbersome to view details on jobs for a particular user.
Hopefully someone is able to provide a solution to revert back to the old
sk00l method :)
