Default 3D 'Extrude' function's unit of measurement...

Can the 3D 'Extrude' unit of measurement be changed from points to something more useful...? Points are handy if you're working with electronic dataand shapes, but I'm working with boxes which will be made and therefore use millimetres!

I don't think there's such an option. Would make a good feature request for the next version. In the meantime, get out your calculator.

Or type 'mm' after your number, it will do the conversion itself.

I didn't realize that that would work in that dialog box. Great!

It would be better if Adobe would put some effort into developing a proper #D tool that work with the rest of their programs rather than re-hash Dimension 2.0 8 years later.

I loved Dimensions when it came out, but the time has come to advance it.

Dimensions 3.0 is the latest version, and it was a good upgrade from 2.0. I think Adobe put a lot of effort getting the 3D dunction into Illustrator; it isn't just a rehash of Dimensions. In some ways it suffers, and in some ways it's an improvement. I think it's a great addition to Illustrator, and I look forward to even more in the next version.
