    Default 3D logo from gif

I'm new to the Macromedia software and I have no idea if this is possible. I am trying to take a 2d gif and turn it into a 3d logo. Ultimately I want to make the logo rotate for some eye candy on a main page for a website. Can Fireworks take a 2d and make it 3d? If not, is there any software that can do this? Also, how would I accomplish the rotating effect? Thanks in advance from an extreme newbie.

    Hi there,

You can't make a 3d object in Fireworks but you can simulate a 3d object.
There is an extension for Fireworks called 3D Objects Extension, you may
    download the extension at <http://users.sisna.com/mcjbrown/fireworksMX.html>

You may also want to try a third-party software that for creating a 3D text.

Do realize that that effect is really, really cheesy.

However, if you want to do it, you can 'fake' it in FW.

Take the logo and duplicate it onto multiple frames. On each subsequent
frame, scale the image horizontally by a percentage (say 10%). Repeat this
and then create your animated GIF. It will appear to spin in 3-D space.

    However, if you want a true 3-D rendering, you'll need/want to use a 3-D
    rendering application.
