3dmax to director - Macromedia Director 3D

    well, in my 3ds 6 it is loaded by standard but I don't remember if it
    was on the cd as a separate plug-in. it is called sw3d_exp.dle.
    the problem is that I currently run two versions of max plus plasma, so
    it's kind of hard to say.

    In Max 6, it comes loaded by default. Also in Plasma. Max 5 is the one
    which needs the SW3D exporter that ships with Plasma or with the
    subscription. Max 5 also may use the free Max 4 exporter.

    in max 6 click File menu > Export > then select shockwave 3d from the file
    type dropdown
