4.3.3.0 upgraded to ML11, but still missing some filesets
Hi,
I've just upgraded a 4.3.3.0 system with no ML's applied to ML11, this
was a success apart from a:
"ifor_ls.compat.gui 4.3.3.25 Requisite failure"
oslevel -r gives me: 4330-04
and a instfix -i|grep ML gives me:
All filesets for AIX43ML were found.
All filesets for 4.3.0.0_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4.3.1.0_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4.3.2.0_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4.3.3.0_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-02_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4320-02_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-03_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-04_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-05_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-01_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-06_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-07_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-08_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-09_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-10_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 4330-11_AIX_ML were found.
I downloaded ML11 from IBM (4330011.tar.gz), so it should contain
*all* the filesets. Why are some of them missing?
Thanks,
Pete.

did you make sure, that you got the ML11 from ML00 on from the download
page? You need to supply information both about the level you come from and
the level you want to reach to get the corret ML package. In fact there may
be 10 different ML11 packages. Should you choose the ML11 package from a
higher level it will be smaller but some files will be missing resulting in
your system staying downlevel. In your case I would recommend to get an ML11
package from ML0 on (e.g. all updates ever published for 4.3.3) to try and
close the gaps. If that does not work try to get two packages: one from ML0
to ML06 and the second from ML06 to ML11 (that did help me on one occasion).

oslevel -r -l 4330-11
download the missing filesets and install them

Re: 4.3.3.0 upgraded to ML11, but still missing some filesets
I agree,
If you do a 'oslevel -rl 4330-11' it will show you the missing
filesets that are a lower level. These filesystems will show the
current level of files and what they need to be upgraded to.
