4.3.3 & CDROM Installation (44P-170) - AIX

Hello, I'm not able to do a cdrom installation on a 44P-170 I switched the boot order to cdrom and did a reboot. System halts with message "0c31" and screen shows something like ------------------ boot image timestamp: Current time and date: number of processors: x size of memory: xx boot device: /pcifef00000/scsic/sd1:\ppc\chrp\bootfile.exe closing stdin and stdout ... --------------------------- Any help is appreciated uwe...

    Hello,

    I'm not able to do a cdrom installation on a 44P-170

    I switched the boot order to cdrom and did a reboot.

    I had the same problem yesterday with my 44P-170, tu update to AIX 5.1.
    My return code was 0xc45 and 0xc31...

    You have to upgrade you CD-ROM firmware (if you have a 32x or 40x....

    Try this:

    and

    (Gunecode to use to update)

    and

    (CD-ROM firmware)
