45º hatch fill
Can anyone explain how to create a 45º seamless tiling line hatch fill to use in filling polygons. I cannot get a pattern to tile seamlessly. I've read all I can on tiling patterns and I still dont get it.

Re: 45º hatch fill
Make your Pattern artwork horizontal or vertical only. Fill an object with the Pattern. DoubleClick the Rotate tool. Deselect Object, select Pattern. Enter 45 (or any other desired angle).
If you want to save it as rotated to a particular angle for use it in other objects, drag the filled object to the Styles Palette to define a Style.
