Default 7.0.5 Upgrade causes Editing problems with AI 12

Everything was working fine until the 7.0.5 upgrade for Acrobat came along. Editing text in Acrobat 7 using the object tool to launch Illustrator to make changes works fine - until it is saved back into the pdf. The text shifts up and to the right about an inch. It also shows the registration marks and color bars from Illlustrator which it didn't before 7.0.5. Why not use the text tool to change text in Acrobat? The same thing happens, shifting text and other weird results.
I've uninstalled CS2 Pro Suite and re-installed - same issue. I went to another computer that has Acrobat 7.0.2 and Illustrator 12.0.0 and editing text from Acrobat to Illustrator and back works great.

What does 7.0.5 change that a complete re-install would not revert back?
Besides a system re-install, how can I get back to 7.0.0 with everything working fine?

    Dual 2Ghz PPC G5 — 2GB DDR SDRAM — OS 10.3.9

Acrobat 7.0.8 upgrade does not fix this issue.

7.0.5 changes the way editing text in Illustrator gets saved back into Acrobat 7. The text is changed but it brings in color bars, registration marks and moves the text 1 inch up and to the right. 7.0.2 works just fine.

I've done a complete re-install of Creative Suite Pro but the problem still exits with a newly installed Acrobat 7.0.0

I don't know all the files that an update changes. Something in the system files because, I can go to my back up system and Acrobat 7.0.0 works the way it should without moving text and retrieving color bars and registration.

That's all fine and dandy, but you didn't answer my question about prefs. There are .plist and .lst files that may be responsible as well as fonts in the application support/adobe folder. These items don't get removed when you run the Acrobat uninstaller. You did run the Acrobat uninstaller, correct?

I'm sorry, yes I did the Acrobat uninstaller.

I'm not sure if I did delete .plist from User/library/preferences folder when I did the uninstall.

Where else besides User/library/preferences would I need to delete these .plist and .lst?

After running Acrobat uninstaller, I find no .plist or .lst files in User/library/preferences folder to throw away. I don't see any Acrobat preferences in Library/preferences.

Right now uninstaller has removed Acrobat 7. What else needs to be thrown away before a re-install?

I did the manual removal/and unistall of Acrobat 7 and Version Cue of Adobe Creative Suite (2.0 on Mac OS X) and re-installed the entire Creative Suite - didn't work

    Any other ideas?
