Re: 7.0.8 on OS X 10.4.6 Slow?
For the past couple of months, running Acrobat has been excruciatingly slow. For nearly every move I make -- even for viewing another page of a PDF -- I have to wait about 20 seconds while the colored ball whirls around because the application is "busy."
I'm currently using 7.0.8 Acrobat Pro on E-Mac with OS 10.4.7, but I'm not sure whether the problem correlates with recent upgrades to either Acrobat 7 or to the OS.
I'm looking for advice as to how to "deinstall" and reinstall Acrobat with minimal risk, loss of preferences settings, and time investment.

Does this happen in a new user? (There could be a problem with your Acrobat or system preferences or caches.)
Use the Acrobat Uninstaller in the Acrobat 7 Professional folder.

Re: 7.0.8 on OS X 10.4.6 Slow?
This is a constant problem for me having to wait on the BeachBall once it quits spinning Acrobat works file. Has always been so for me using Acrobat 6 or 7. Although my G4-500 is slow by todays standards I am using a 120GB Hard Drive for OSX (3.9) and 1.5 Mb worth of Ram.
However; I still have to watch the beachball on my PowerBook 17" with 1.67Gb processor and 2.mb of Apple installed memory using 10.4.7.
As far as I can tell, Acrobat is the only one that does this.
Its just in the nature of things for it to do so.
Once it get through loading everything up it works great.
