7.0 Freezes At Launch
Photoshop 7.0 on 10.3 freezes while "Updating Adobe Online compnents for Adobe.com" on file 2 of 2 AWEDBFiles4.awe - I just get the beach ball. I've also had it complain about bad file requests from this site. I've forced it to quit several times but can't get it to come up. I'd love for it not to try to connect to the site at all, but if I can't get it to open I can't change it.
I do have a working DSL connection.

Re: 7.0 Freezes At Launch
Sven,
It's a bug, apparently triggered by problems at the Adobe site at the particular time you connect. It's nasty.
The easiest thing is to temporarily disconnect your DSL cable, then launch Photoshop and set its Online preferences to NEVER. Then you can reconnect to your DSL.

Re: 7.0 Freezes At Launch
Trash your Photoshop prefs..
Re-start Photoshop and go straight to Photoshop Preferences/Adobe Online
and choose Check for Updates: "Never".
Quit out of Photoshop. Then re-launch.
