9.2-download.md5sums.asc - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

I have downloaded the ISO images and the checksum file 9.2-download.md5sums.asc. Is there doentation somewhere for a step by step walkthrough of how to do a check sum? It must be very trivial, but it has escaped me so far. I used to burn the CD without checksum. Usually there is no problem, but ... glam...

    Thanks. I am on a Windows machine, so man does not work too well.
    However, I google on md5sum and got a Windows version of md5sum.
    Not very smart in not reading the README file - the solution was
    in there too.
