I mention rotation as a possible factor since a working TOC (in ID2 under Windows 2000) went haywire when I edited a heading in a rotated text frame. When I later updated the TOC, just that rotated heading (a minor one) was listed. I tried unrotating the frame, and just got the heading 'Contents'. After further experimentation I got nothing in the TOC frame!

The TOC has three levels of heading but no longer can find any of them. Re-creating the style doesn't help. The rotated frame is on page 39, so I would have thought that headings on all the pages before that should have been examined and listed.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am under a little pressure since I have been promoting ID in my workgroup to a clique of QXP5 users. (A colleague is trying out the CS suite, but QXP6 is not likely soon, if at all.) I would like to be able to fix this ID2 TOC problem quietly. I have had a fairly good run with ID2 here (no previous TOC problems) and would hate to admit to a serious problem that can't be fixed.
