I am having an OS X print issue that seems unique to Acrobat, and I would appreciate some advice.

I have a Canon c2880 printer that has a duplexing unit. When I’m in other OS X applications (e.g. MS Word), I can print duplex just fine, but in Acrobat 8 the Print Style choice to print 2-sided (under Finishing) is grayed out.

In the same Acrobat dialog, when I click on Finishing->Printer Info, it returns “Duplixing Unit Available.” So, why would it be grayed out?

As I said, I can print 2-sided from Word from the same MacBook Pro, so that makes me doubt it’s the Canon printer driver. I currently have to copy my PDF over to a PC running XP and print it in duplex to the same Canon printer.

Has anyone else seen or resolved anything similar? Any ideas? Thanks!
