A Very Basic Question Yikes! I read a lot of the online discussion and went through all the help
documents, but I couldn't find an answer to this very basic question. Assume
I set up the site for contribute and gave the correct server permissions. Now
what does another individual using another computer need (in terms of software
on their computer) to access the folder and make changes? Is there a separate
stand alone program (free hopefully) for "Contribute" so that they can make
changes online?
I purchased MX Dreamweaver Suite 2004 with dreamweaver, firefox, freehand and
flash, but I don't see any "Contribute" program. I've been using it a few
years and just now want to get started with "Contribute".
Thank you very much, in advance for any help.:confused;

Re: A Very Basic Question Eino,
Each user will need to have a copy of Contribute on their system to edit a
page.
Looking at the online store there is a 6 pack that will save a bunch of money
at only $699. Single licenses are $149.

Re: A Very Basic Question Further on this topic, I have Dreamweaver MX2004 and am also wondering how I
can set up myself as admin and another individual as a remote user/editor. Do I
need to purchase two copies of the software, one for him and one for myself?
Also, how would I override the remote user's settings so they cannot set
themself up as an administrator - ie overide limited priveledges? When I tried
out the Trial version, I was granted full access to whole site.
Thanks
Ed F.

Re: A Very Basic Question You need a copy for you and a copy for the remote user.
In Dreamweaver you can set it up where you manage sites to make that site integrate with Contribute.
