Re: About ColdFusion
Hi KanerTUNCEL,
Could provide some more information and maybe somebody could help you with the
installation?
1. What is version of CF you are installing?
2. What operating system?
3. What is the exact error message?

Re: About ColdFusion
There is no way you will ever get help in here without providing further and
useful information. We need to know what version of ColdFusion you are trying
to install plus what operating system will it be installed on. For a newbie
like you go with the windows installation and follow the instructions. Remember
to have IIS installed if you are planning to run a multi-site server otherwise
do a standalone.

Re: About ColdFusion
What do you mean by "it didn't work?" Sorry, I have no idea what that means
:-)
1. I think the latest version is 7.0.1. Did you download 7 or 7.0.1?
2. Did you verify the checksum of the file you downloaded?
3. Did you turn off your firewall(s) during the installation?

That is okay. We just need more information in order to be able to help you.
1. XP usually comes with a built in firewall. Was it disabled during the
installation?
2. You can determine the version of MX by the name of the file. Check your
the name of your download file. Which version of MX did you install ? I think
it would be either :
coldfusion-70-win.exe
coldfusion-701-win.exe
3. Did you verify the checksum of the file you downloaded?
The checksums are listed on the download page
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=coldfusion
4. Did you get any error messages at all during the installation process?
5. What steps did you take before you got a blank screen? For example, if
you open up your browser go to
http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
What do you see?

Re: About ColdFusion
There is an error again :( It says "One possible reason is that Port 51011 is
blocked." But i closed everything. Can my modem firewall block this port? Would
it be corrected if i close my modem and install again?

Re: About ColdFusion
If the XP firewall is disabled you shouldn't need to open a port. But I am not
using XP, so I am not sure how to do it. Check in the XP 2 section. I think
there are instructions on how to do it
http://www.macromedia.com/support/service/servicepack2.html
Are you sure it is disabled? Are you running any other firewall software ..
Norton.. ZoneAlarm, etc?

Re: About ColdFusion
I dont use any firewalls. I will remove and re-install the server again. I am choosing the "Server ;Configuration" while im installing. Is that right choice?

Re: About ColdFusion
That will install the built-in webserver. That might be a good idea for now.
You can always configure CF to work with the IIS webserver after you have it
working.
That may not help if it is a port being blocked. Can you post the exact>I will remove and re-install the server again
error message you received?

Re: About ColdFusion
Was this the complete error message you saw?
You have successfully completed the first step in installing
Macromedia Coldfusion MX 7. However, the web server connectors did not install
successfully. One possible reason is that port 51011 is blocked. Please
complete the following steps to complete the installation:
