About: [SECURITY] [DSA-358-1] New kernel source and i386
What's not clear to me (unless I just missed in my coffee-less state) is
what is required, if anything since I'm using:
ii kernel-source- 2.4.21-2 Linux kernel source for version 2.4.21 with
The advisory mentions 2.4.21 a few places, not not for all problems.
For example:
- - CAN-2003-0462: A race condition in the way env_start and env_end
pointers are initialized in the execve system call and used in
fs/proc/base.c on Linux 2.4 allows local users to cause a denial of
service (crash).
which leaves me unclear if that was fixed in 2.4.21 or patched in
2.4.21 for Debian.
Thanks,
