Access DataBase Connection Problem
There is something I don't do right. When setting up the Microsoft Jet Driver
for my Access 2000 database connection, I clicked the test button and got a
dialog box confirming the database was connected successfully. But when I tried
to expand the database Table (or the view) tree, I got nothing. I already
checked the web config file and confirmed the app setting had been written.
When I use VStudio.Net , I have no problem drilling down to all the tables and
queries of the same database. In fact I even tried to copy the same connection
string from VS.NET, still I could drill down to the tables and views. By the
way, the 'Build' button on my Dreamweaver MX 2004 OLEDB connection wizard
doesn't do anything. So, I tried using a dummy.udl file to get to the database
connection string, still no luck. Here is a copy of the connection string:
'Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data
Source=D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Exp\fpdb\Registration1.m db; Mode=ReadWrite|Share Deny
None; Persist Security Info=False'
