You can get the universal postscript printer installer and the Adobre PPD pack from here

By default this will install the Generic Postscript printer. When you get to this screen don't click OK. Click browse and find a file called adist5.ppd (this is in the PPD pack you'll need to unzip to get it, or you can find it in your existing Acrobat installed files you might have adist4.ppd depends on your Acrobat version that you forgot to specify). adist(4or5).ppd will put your Acrobat Distiller printer back in place. You may fnd you can only connect this to the FILE: port so you'll be stuck with two stage PDF production.
This may solve your problem. However, if you've deleted the Distiller application, reinstall from CD is the onlt way to go as Aandi says.
