I have been creating pdf's with other smaller QX documents without any problems.

I will check for "n-up printing"

Hmm - could this be thumbnails palette which has been drawn too much
onto the right hand side of the screen?

A way to tell is to click once on the palette 'thumnails' and it should
then either shoot out or shoot back-in ...
