Acrobat 5 and Make CID
I just upgraded to Acrobat 5. When I start the program, there's a dialogue asking if I want to update CID font info, but if I try to do this, the program freezes, actually the whole computer freezes. I'm on OS 9. Any fixes or work arounds? Right now I just click cancel to get past this dialogue.

Re: Acrobat Distiller 5 and Make CID
You probably need to reinstall Acrobat and turn off the option to install Asian fonts. As I recall, that's the component which puts up that dialog box. I don't know of another way to remove it. (Remove all the Acrobat components in the Acrobat folder before reinstalling.)

A visit to:
Acrobat 5/Distiller/Startup/
... and then remove the .ps files there should overcome your issue ..
