Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
You are putting in the SECOND CS installation CD?
Are you running 6.0.1 already?
What is the exact error message?

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
Go to <http://www.adobe.com/support/products/acrobat.html> - that is Adobe's knowledgebase for Acrobat. Type in "acropro.msi" (without quotes) as your search. I think the third doc will have your answer.

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
Nope
tried everything (reinstall, different cd roms, copied acropro.msi to hd, removal of the cd drivers ..) ...
the error comes after I point the update to the location of acropro.msi

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
Have you tried removing Acrobat 6 and reinstalling it (and the update) from the desktop, in VGA mode for good measure?

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
Yes have done it (maybe without a reboot after deinstalling 6.0)
Try it again
VGA ?? A little bit to much work for an update, shouldnt this be easier

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
You are trying to install Acrobat directly, from a CS CDROM, with the
CS serial number? That won't work. You have to run the CS installer.

Re: Acrobat 6.01 update ??
Now it worked :-)
After reinstalling with the cs installer, the upgrade worked fine (even found the acropro.msi automagically)
thanks for all the tips
