Default Acrobat 6 and Field Tab Order

When I was using Acrobat 5, it was simple to define the tab order for fields. However, in version 6.0 I do not see any means of defining a custom tab order. I do not want the tab order to be by row order or column order only. I want to be able to step through the fields and define the tab order. How to do that in version 6? I only see the below options under page properties:

Use Row Order - this won't always work
Use column Order - this won't always work
Use Document STructure - What does this mean?
Unspecified - does this one mean NO tab order?

    TIA,
    Tracy

Thank you for the quick response. I updated to 6.1 just now and I still see the same options under page properties for the tab order. Am I missing something? How do I specify a tab order like we did in Acrobat 5 where it can be a custom tab order?

You need to first select the "Select Object Tool".

Yes I know. I select the 'Select Object Tool' BEFORE I actually select the field objects on the page. I know I am selecting the objects - I can see them highlighted and I can choose other multi-object options such as align or center.

I guess I just need to figure out why the 'Set Tab Order' option is grayed out? Any ideas? It is also under the Advanced, Forms, Fields menu and it is greyed out there no matter the number of fields selected. I must be missing something that I must do to enable it?

It's also known to be a bit buggy with Acrobat 6.01. As a test, start with a fresh PDF and add a few fields. Can you set the tab order for this simple PDF?

OK, I went to the page properties and set the tab options to Unspecified (AGAIN) and then when I go to Tools, Advanced Editing, Select Object Tool (not from the toolbar that only works sometimes for some reason), select all of the objects and then right-click I can THEN see the 'set tab order' and it works. I had to turn it to unspecified numerous times to get it to work, but it finally worked! :o)

sounds like the patch didn't make a good install, the select object tool is available from the tool bar for me and I only have to set unspecified once. I do have an intermitent issue with the tab order not sticking but am working on theory that there is a conflict on my system somewhere.
