Acrobat 7.0 Pro will not take CS2 serial number
I'm on my second set of install disks and the same problem - acrobat says the CS2 serial is invalid.
i've reformatted my hard drive so it can't be grabbing any old numbers. Any ideas?

Re: Acrobat 7.0 Pro will not take CS2 serial number
I assume you mean you are trying to install Acrobat directly by
dragging it from one of the disk? If so, I think that what you
describe is normal, from what I remember. You can't install Acrobat
from the Creative Suite disks; you have to run the Creative Suite
installer. See "how to install.html" on Install Disk 1.

Re: Acrobat 7.0 Pro will not take CS2 serial number
Interesting to see that there are several people posting this same problem --- which I spent all day trying to deal with. CS2 installed from disks using Creative Suite Installer -- it installs all the components of Creative Suite, and each one is usable EXCEPT Acrobat Professional. When trying to open that application, it asks for the serial number to be entered, but the serial number that came with CS2, which allowed me to install the software in the first place, is deemed "invalid" by Acrobat Pro. I see this posted on several forums -- in different wordings -- but no answers. Sob.

Re: Acrobat 7.0 Pro will not take CS2 serial number
Installation questions about serial numbers always need to go to Adobe Customer Support. It should be a free call. It's useless talking about them here because none of us users would be able to help you.
