acrobat 7 ,quicktime 7 & Tiger do they all get along yet?
Hello,
Can anyone out there help me with a problem in Acrobat 7?
I;m trying to add/embed a quicktime movie and some other MPEG files to a pdf
to make it more interesting. I'm using acrobat 7 on MAC OS Tiger.
I have done this before with no problems whatso ever in Acrobat 7 on MAC OS
10.2.8 but now i'm having probs...
basically when i go to choose the media file i want to add a message pops up
telling me 'there are no media handlers, please install before using this f
eature.."
what does this mean and how do i install these media handlers??
i've been on the apple site and i'm aware that there have been problems with
acrobat 7, quicktime 7 and tiger. has anyone else had this problem or know
of a way around it??
as usual the client needs the work done by yesterday so i'm in a hurry...any
help or feedback will be much appriciated...
thanks,
jez

Re: acrobat 7 ,quicktime 7 & Tiger do they all get along yet?
There is no real solution yet, only workarounds.
If you hadn't upgraded to Tiger, your workaround would be to roll back to QuickTime 6.5.x (there is a download on the Apple website for this). However, Tiger requires QuickTime 7.x.
Therefore, your only workaround is to use Acrobat 6.
What we're waiting on is the next update for Acrobat 7 Professional to fix the problem.
