Default Acrobat 7 Will not run from the hard drive -bounces a few times then nothing

    HELP!
I first installed everything from the Acrobat 7.0 Professional CD, and then tried to start Acrobat, it just bounces a few times and then disappears from the dock. It will start Distiller. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, nothing helps.
I did try running the program directly from the CD, which worked, although of course it was fairly slow. Obviously I am not going to continue doing this, so what can I do to get it working from the hard drive?

I finally found a person with a problem like this but for a different program. To fix it I had to go to System profiler, then logs, then console.log and go to the bottom to see the most recent entry. It showed me that adobe was trying to open a file and couldnt find it. The only way I could fix this was opening a terminal, and moving into the folder and renaming some folders, which for me was easy since I use linux on a regular basis, but for the average mac user this may prove daunting.

OK I actually had to make a copy so that it had both two folders:
    AdobeBIBUtils.framework and
AdobeBibUtils.framework since FreeBSD, like any other linux/unix is case sensitive. It is strange to me that this error is out there, but seemingly just on my machine.

Have you tried repairing disk permissions?
Go into the Applications folder and look for Utilities.
In Utilities, look for Disc Utility. Open it and run repair disk permissions.
Usually if I am having a problem with an application, this solves the problem.
    Good luck.

This was also accounted to an incorrect time zone preference under
