Acrobat 8.0 Pro Printing Problems

Tiger 10.4.8. Creative Suite 2 installed without problems. Acrobat 8.0 Pro will generates software errors at LEXMARK Optra S 1250 PS2 printer when using either IP printing directly, or Appletalk. Acrobat Pro 7.0, or Reader 7.0.8 print fine. When the file is saved first and then dropped on the printer located on the Mac Desktop it prints fine with 8.0. Have uninstalled all previous versions of Acrobat and reinistalled Acrobat 8.0 without successful resolution of this problem.

Tiger 10.4.8. Acrobat Pro 8.0. I have a similar problem with my HP 2430tn printer. Ever since I installed 8.0, I have had difficulty printing pdfs from within Safari and just within Acrobat alone. Customer support did not help, saying it was network issue, which is ridiculous since I had no problem printing with 7.0 or any other software.

Any luck with this yet Adobe? It is not good PR to sell software the user can't use and has to revert to previous version.

It is possible that the problem lies with the fact these are
Postscript clone printers. It is not unusal to find that these
printers eventually have problems with the postscript that Adobe
products generate. Adobe's product is probably generating good code,
that they cannot handle. It is one of the reasons I always purchase a
true postscript printer. Eventually, there always seems to be a
problem. If you can try to find a nonpostscript driver for the printer
you may luck out, since on the Windows side using the nonpostscript
driver usually works when the postscript driver does not.

I have encountered the same problem with a multifunctional device from Brother: MFC-620CN. It is also not a postscript printer.

We just completed clean installs on (7) G5 PPC.
Maxed out ram
OS 10.4.8
Adobe CS 2, Acrobat 8.0 Pro

We are also having no luck printing to HP printers across our ethernet.

I have two questions for others experiencing the same problem in the same environment:
Has anyone reported this to Adobe?
Has anyone successfully fixed this problem for themselves?

Another similar problem only with intel Mac's indicated a new download of the most recent driver file for most people corrected problem.

If you go this route I would suggest you uninstall the old driver file first then install new.

see if that helps.
