Acrobat 8 hangs when selecting "Help" menu...

I'm running the latest (all updates as of today) version of Acrobat Pro and the latest version of OS X 10.5.4 on a Mac Pro. Whenever I move my mouse of the Help menu, Acrobat stall — I first get the old wristwatch, then the beachball spins. It takes between at least 1-2 minutes before I can do anything again. If I don't just sit there and wait (ie. if I go to another program), I gotta do the whole thing over again.

Anyone else experience this?
I've tried permission repairs, deleted prefs, etc. etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Happens under all users on various machines.

I get a definite pause of about 10 seconds on my MacBook Pro in Acrobat 9 Pro. Do you have slower computers. Mine is pretty fast (mine is 2.5 Ghz). If you wait it out, it does come up.

Oh, it does come up, but the wait can be extensive depending on the speed of the machine (though we're talking Intel Mac Pros & the last G5s before going to Intel). Really though, in this day and age, should there be ANY delay when trying to select the "Help" menu on any recent machine? I mean, 10 seconds for the help menu to show up on a MacBook Pro seems a little ridiculous if you ask me. Apparently though, the technological advancements of the Help Menu are just to intensive to be able to show up right away...
Sorry for the sarcasm, but there have been way way WAY too many problems with CS3/OS X lately.
