Acrobat 8 printing problem
I'm just curious if anyone else out here is having this problem or one similar to it. When I print from my G4 2 gigs of ram, out of Acrobat 8 to my Docucolor 2045 it is placing a margin around the edge of the sheet. On my Fiery rip I can check a preview of my job and what it appears to be doing is placing a clipping mask, so if my print goes anywhere near approximately half an inch of the edge of the sheet it clips it in the clipping mask. I'm working with tech support on it now, but they say they haven't seen anyone else with an issue like this. Oh, I also printed to the Acrobat 8 printer from the PDF file in Acrobat and it put the same border as well, so I don't think it's a printer issue.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Daniel

Re: Acrobat 8 printing problem
I do, here's a link to it. The first link is the original. The second link will be what happens when I print the file to the Acrobat 8 printer.

Re: Acrobat 8 printing problem
hmm. I'm getting some clipping, but not nearly as much as you are. However, I was able to fix it (at least for printing to Adobe PDF 8.0 printer) by going in to Page Setup, set Format for: Adobe PDF 8.0 and set the orientation to landscape.

Re: Acrobat 8 printing problem
You gave me the clue that seems to have solved my problem. I'm not sure why that second example is so far off, but at this point I'm going to call my problem solved. It's not grabbing the PPD based on the printer I've selected like it used to. I actually have to go on the page setup tab and select the printer, I can't just leave it at any printer and expect it to be right. I should have been doing that all along, but in Acrobat 7 I never had an issue leaving it at "Any Printer" but now it's an issue. That's what I needed to know.
Thanks so much for all your help,
Daniel
