Default Acrobat 8 Professional - New Information

    Adobe announced Acrobat 8 today.

Some good sources of information besides the Adobe web site:

    (1) The Acrobat User Community website has some good blogs by industry notables about new features:

    (2) Lori DeFurio's blog on the Adobe Blogs.

Thanks for posting the links Steve.

A couple of things I noticed that were of interest (to me anyhow):

Enable even more advanced features in Adobe Reader
You can enable anyone to fill and save electronic forms offline, and to digitally sign documents using the free Reader.

    Permanently remove sensitive information
You can search for and remove metadata, hidden layers, and other concealed information, and use new redaction tools to permanently delete sensitive text, illustrations or other content.

    Manage shared reviews
You can easily conduct and track shared reviews, without IT assistance, that allow review participants to see each other's comments as they make them.

I never expected to see at least ONE of those features.

If I read correctly Lori De Furio's blog (third reaction), Acrobat 8 is indeed a Universal Binary application… How come Adobe doesn't stress more this fact ?

Must be a hot item! I just got off of phone with sales (my ear was numb waiting). :-)

I tried online store and after 15 minutes each time came up with error message. So I am now numbing the other ear waiting for customer service to make sure I didn't end up buying 3 copies. :-(

One additional Mac-centric note, there won't be an Acrobat Standard version. Professional and Reader only.
