Acrobat 8 quits on launch

I recently installed CS2, including Acrobat Professional 8. However, it only gets as far as the launch window before quitting.

Any ideas?

Do you use a font manager? Do you have a lot of fonts loaded?

Hi MarkATS - I have Font Book (tho I don't use it very much) - but I do have lots of fonts...

I'm seeing exactly the same thing with Acrobat 8 and Reader 8 on my new MacBook. They both work fine on my intel iMac however.

Have tried deleting preferences to no avail.

Any suggesions would be greatly appreciated!

I've got it to work now - disabling the "Updater" plug-in has worked for me.
