Acrobat 8 Standard/Mac???

I can't seem to find a version of Acrobat 8/standard for Macintosh. Am I overlooking something, or is the less-expensive Standard version only for Windows users?

They decided to discontinue the Mac version. At least for 8.

To which I say, hurrah! For graphics professionals, to buy the Standard version in Acrobat 6 and 7 only lead to disappointment.

The Standard version is only aimed at Enterprise workers because all the professional editing features are only in the Professional version.

True. And, anyone needing only Standard will probably have no real issues with just using the Apple PDF technology.

Except some of us can't afford the Pro version for hobby work. Looks like it's time to hit ebay!

You can do 90% of what Standrad does just using the print command in mac and choosing create a PDF.

I'm sure a upgrade path is available from 7 Standard to 8 Pro.
