Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
You cannot install CS components separately, I think. Try using the CS
installer.

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
Wasn't Acrobat 8 on a separate disk inside the box?

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
Acrobate 8, Dreamweaver, CS2 Premium Box and the Training Disk showed up loose in a simple unmarked mailer.
The only number on either disk or box is 90074199, 90064655 and 90058736 repectively.
The one disk is labeled as the Upgrade installer. It installs fine but on first opening it asks for the serial number. No new numbers came with the products. The numbers from CS2 don't work.

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
So, on the back of the CD box, that all the suite cds come in, should be 3 serial numbers, and one is for Acrobat 8. If that's not the case, you'll need to call customer service.

Hmmmm.
Normally, they come in an official looking, sealed box don't they?

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
Well it was in a sleeve... marked upgrade... but certainly no 24 digit number.
Did yours have a proper serial number?

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
I haven't got it yet but all upgrades (that are legal Adobe products) "should" come in a box.
Did you buy it from Adobe or was it a "discounted" reseller? If the latter, you may want to keep an eye on your credit card statement.

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
Just got my box and inside was a cardboard CS2 sleeve and the Dreamweaver 8 disk in a loose sleeve. On the back of the cardboard CS2 sleeve I have two serial numbers. One for Acrobat 8 and one for Dreamweaver. (Also had a card with instructions to look on the back of the Dreamweaver cover. There was no cover. Just a white open sleeve.)

Yeah, but on the back of the plasticCD case that holds the other 5 disks, isn't there three stickers with serial numbers on them?

Re: Acrobat 8 will not accept serial number!
Will I finnaly found out that I had to retrieve my serial numbers electonically!!!!! Even though it's just one license you go through the volume licensing page. It was still very cryptic... had to jump past one part but got to the numbers.
Anyway, I'm done with this!!! And I'm still very hesitant to do the actual CS2.3 upgrade for fear of having to call customer support again. What a HUGE PAIN! I'M NOT HAPPY!!!
