Acrobat 9.0 + Visual studio 2003 - Adobe Acrobat SDK

Hello Folks, I have a query regarding Acrobat 9.0 and Visual Studio 2003. In our project we are using Acrobat 9.0 SDK to develop an application that already has support for Acrobat 8.0.But we are facing some problems in aspects like Securing a doent by password, adding watermark etc where the Acrobat 9.0 crashes.Should we use Visual studio 2005 to develop this application or Visual studio 2003 is sufficient? Please correct me if i am wrong.

If the plugin is to work in BOTH Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9, then you should be using ONLY the Acrobat 8 SDK + VS2003. If you plan to ONLY support Acrobat 9, then you need the 9 SDK and VS2005.

    Hi Leo,

    Thanks for ur input,

if my plugin already supports Acrobat 7.0 and 8.0, and now it has to support Acrobat 9.0 then what SDK SHOULD i use?either sdk 9.0,8.0 or 7.0?

and i already developed my application using vs2003 for Acrobat 7.0 and 8.0 and now i am going for Acrobat 9.0

Please guide me what VS SHOULD I USE?
whether i have to go with VS2003 OR VS2005

Plug-ins built with older SDK releases run in Acrobat 9.

Always use the older version of the SDK that matches the oldest version of the software you wish to use. If Acrobat 7 is your base, then you need the 7 SDK.

IIRC, the 7 SDK was also VS2003.

The Acrobat 9 SDK requires VS 2005.
