Re: Acrobat Approval
Also, you can convert all your forms into fillable and (locally!!!)
saveable with Acrobat Reader only -- immediately. This is a free
service from http://www.FillinDocs.com and http://www.savePDF.com.
Jennifer_Pace@adobeforums.com wrote in message news:<2cd0e046.-1@webx.la2eafNXanI>...> So if I have fill in pdf forms on my site and my clients have acrobat approval they can fill in the form, hit submit and it will email to an email address? You do not need toolkit or any other programs for this to work? JenniferBerel Guest

Acrobat Approval
I'm trying to fill out a .pdf form that I copied from the Internet to my desktop. Adobe said that with Acrobat Approval I would be able to do this. I down loaded Acrobat Approval 5.0 opened the .pdf file within Approval and still can't add text to the document and don't notice a difference between Acrobat Reader and Approval. I'm using Win 98 and AOL for isp.

Re: Acrobat Approval
Approval will only fill in a form that is there. If there are no form fields present in the document then you will not be able to complete them without a product like Acrobat 6 Professional (or Acrobat 5 for Win98)
When you hover over a form field with Approval (or Reader) if the cursor changes to an 'I' then there is a form field present. If it does not then there is not. Also, if there is a postal address on the form it is fairly likely it has been designed to be completed by hand and returned by post.
If this form is publicly accessible then you could post the URL for conmfirmation on that.

Re: Acrobat Approval
That form definitely has no form fields to fill in and looks like it would really be a pain to add fields to if you wanted.
I suggest rasterizing it and either pulling the pages into a graphics app (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.) or putting the pages in as a background in Word and typing over them that way.

Re: Acrobat Approval
Best get out the blue pen or #2 pencil and fill it out the old-school way.
