Acrobat CS2 won't launch without reinstall
For the second time in about 3 months, my copy of Acrobat 7.0 Professional refuses to launch. The warning is: A required component was not found. Please restore Acrobat from your original CD.
The first time it happened, that's what I did and it fixed the problem. Now a couple months later it's telling me the same thing. What the hell is going on? I haven't removed anything related to apps. Running the latest OSX on a iMac G5.

Re: Acrobat CS2 won't launch without reinstall
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem, only that I receive this error message at every attempt to launch Acrobat Pro 7.0.9.
Workaround: Launch Adobe Reader 7.0.9, quit it and then launch Acrobat Pro.
Very annoying!!!

Re: Acrobat CS2 won't launch without reinstall
Maybe worth repairing all disk permissions - if the error still
persists, remove Acrobat, patch up to 7.0.9 and repair permissions again
.....
(patch all other CS2 apps as well)

Re: Acrobat CS2 won't launch without reinstall
Hi Jon,
thanks for the input. I do this regularly: MacOS X 10.3/10.4: System maintenance <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=607640>
I cannot even remember how often I already reinstalled both Acrobat and Reader.
