Acrobat Forms and Database Interactivity
I am familiar with creating interactive forms with Acrobat Form Designer -
what I need to do now is have the ability for a pdf form to be on a client
computer and when they enter something into the form, the form connects to a
database on our webserver to retrieve and store form data - ie. if someone
enters their SSN, the form will look to see if they are already in the db, if
so it will automaticall fill in fields like their name, address, phone num,
etc. If they are not already in the db, the form stores their name, address,
phone num data into the database after they fill in those fields.
Anyone done anything like this before, or can point me in the right direction?
I've read lots on Adobe LiveCycle, Web Services, SOAP, JavaScript, XML, etc,
etc. And can't seem to find the solution I'm looking for. Any help is greatly
appreciated!!
Thanks!
Cynthia
