Default Acrobat hangs on opening after running spybot

I ran Spybot on my 2003 XP Pro Machine. Once completed Acrobat 6.0 started hanging at the intro screen and the only way out is to ctrl/alt/del and end the process. The first thing I did was to reinstall all the items removed by spybot and then removed spybot itself. That didn't do it. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Adobe and they couldn't help. I have tried all of the uninstall/reinstall options, removing all but the standard fonts. I also tried two fixes from the forum with no success. Adobe says to contact Dell. Any ideas?

Default Re: Acrobat hangs on opening after running spybot

I seemed to have fixed the problem with a variety of changes. The most significant appears to be the deletion of all of my temp folder contents under local settings. Here is some info to help anyone caught in the same downward spiral. The mistake I was making was not deleting the temp folders under the correct user account.
