Acrobat Immediately Closes after Launch - URGENT!

    Default Acrobat Immediately Closes after Launch - URGENT!

    I have developed an odd issue with Acrobat 6.0 Professional. Immediately after I launch the program, right after the splash screen disappears, the program closes completely. It will not stay open no matter what I do (reboot does not help).

    Any ideas?

    What Windows version do you have?
    If you are running NT4.0 or Windows 2000, you might have to re-apply the latest patch.

    Windows 2000 - I had applied the patch, and it didn't seem to work. I am going to try again as I just did a repair of the Acrobat installation.

    Oh, and go to Start > Run and type "%AppData%" and click OK. Open the Adobe\Acrobat\6.0 folder and delete the Updater folder if the 6.0.1 update doesn't work.

    You might also try temporarily renaming or moving your plugin folder to see if it's one of them that's crashing the application.
