Acrobat lost Unicode CMap
Hello,
I have a PDF file. Acrobat preflight reports one font and show me this
information about it :
Type 0 font
- PostScript name: RFNETY+DispatchComp-Regular
- Unicode CMap is present
- Font is a subset
- Descendant fonts
- CID Type 0 font
I have no problems with this file, it looks and prints fine. I use
Acrobat 6 to save the PDF file to Postscript, after this I distill it
and get a second PDF file which looks apparently fine but when I copy
some text and paste it in a text editor I get just garbage characters.
Acrobat preflight reports this for the second PDF:
Type 0 font
- PostScript name: DispatchComp-Regular-Identity-H
- Descendant fonts
- CID Type 0 font
Why Acrobat lost the Unicode Map?
Thanks in advance ...
Jorge
