Acrobat menu not available in Word - Adobe Acrobat Windows

I do not have any Acrobat options available to me in Word, except through the print distiller. I do have the options available in Excel, however. Also, I downloaded the program to my notebook computer and I have the options available in Word there. I did try uninstalling and re-installing, but got the same results....

In Word, go into Tools > Templates & Add-Ins, tick 'PDFMaker.dot' and press OK and see if they reappear either immediately or when re-opening Word.

I have a similar problem. The Acrobat menu in Word 2000 is inactive. It used to work (for months), but it doesn't anymore. Reinstalling Acrobat 5.0.5 didn't fix it, even though I uninstalled Acrobat, deleted all Acrobat related folders, and rebooted before reinstalling. I also checked Word's Templates and Add-Ins dialog, and PDFMaker.dot is checked when it is opened; PDFMakerA.dot is not. Checking PDFMakerA.dot does not enable the Acrobat menu either. Do you have any other suggestions?

I found a solution to my problem. In Word 2000, click View > Toolbars > Customize. Click the Commands tab in the Customize dialog, then under Categories, select Macros. Next, under Commands (in the same dialog), drag AdobePDFMaker.AutoExec.DoPrefsForm to the PDFMaker 5.0 toolbar, and close the dialog. Close, then reopen Word, and the Acrobat menu will be in the menu bar.
