Acrobat newbie
I have been reading this group for a while and think it is
great, but it does not really help in learning the whole
document flow thing that has to do with Acrobat and PDF. One
needs an overview of the essentials to grab the whole thing
I guess.
I know Acrobat, I distilled quite a few times in my time,
but mostly from Framemaker. Now I am challenged to run a
small studio where of course cPDF is an important tool and
software is much more diverse, from XPress to the whole
Adobe CS line. I am familiar with that software, but the PDF
conversions are still a jungle for me. Including Pitstop cPDF's.
Many problems are there, missing letters, accents, euro
signs, messages that the resolution of a photo is suddenly
150 DPI, all sorts of stuff. Profiles, Job Options, they
never seem to be right straight away. Of course we deal with
a variety of projects..... newspapers, glossy mags,
advertizements, web, sheet print, spot color, full color,
the whole range.
If anyone can point me to a good tutorial, book, or whatever
I would be very grateful. Thanks!
