    Default Acrobat Printing Problem

Running Acrobat 6.0.1 on XP Pro I am told I before I can perform a print-related task such as page setup or printing a document I must install a printer. Printers are installed and appear (including Adobe PDF) in Print Setup list. All other programs print fine.
    Thanks

    Default Acrobat Printing Problem

I didn't have the acrobat printer, even though I have CS3 Design Premium, so I added it. It did pop up in the default section but it didn't seem to have a driver for it. I had to select a driver to use and the only acrobat driver it has is Adobe PDF 3016.102. I added the printer with this driver but I am unable to print to PDF. I am running it on an brand new 24" Imac with 10.5.5. Is that the right driver? Perhaps there is something else I should be trying?

Did you try launching Acrobat and selecting Help | Repair? It should come up with a dialog with 3 items: PDF Printer, PDF Maker, and PDF Viewer. Just leave all 3 items checked and it should recreate any missing files. If the relevant files already exist, but are malfunctioning for some reason, you may need to delete them before running the repair.

That was exactly the info I needed. As it turns out though that wasn't what solved it. The adobe updater ran this morning and it installed a second pdf printer which fixed it. Thank you for your help.
