Acrobat Pro 6.0 updates won't Install

I had to replace the hard drive in my Powerbook G4, and consequently reinstall all my software.

I'm running OS X 10.4.8 and Acrobat 6 installs fine, but the patches won't run at all. If I use the update feature from within Acrobat, Acrobat crashes. If I try to run the patches independent from Acrobat, they shut down immediately and nothing happens.

Any ideas about what's happening?

Have you tried fixing permissions since you installed your hard drive
and updated your OS?

When you state independent patches - do you mean they are from adobe.com
website under SUPPORT?

Yes. I mean those patches. I figured out what I did today. I had to reformat my hard drive as case-insensitive. I had forgotten that OS X Apps don't like case sensitive file systems by default.
