Re: Acrobat Pro 6 updater...
Hi Mike,
Yep I have a Shared Folder with Acrobat 6 in it so what is that doing in there!?
In answer to your previous question, yes I can see PDFs in Preview. Incidentally I'm back to running Acrobat 6 with no update. Still have the same problems though...
Thanks for your help on this Mike, I appreciate it. Desperate to get this resolved as I'm the type of guy who likes things to run properly and smoothly!
Cheers
Rich

Re: Acrobat Pro 6 updater...
Rich,
The folder in the shared library is essential. I guess this is one way
to have Acrobat share resources without cluttering up the main library
folder more than necessary.
Obviously, you have a non-trivial problem. That is being difficult to
fix. There are still two options available to try. Archive and install
and a clean install of the OS. Both options are painful.
I long for the days, I could drag a clean copy of my system folder onto
the hard drive (or floppy disk) and be up and running. OS 3.2, 4 or
5---the good old days.

Re: Acrobat Pro 6 updater...
Hi Mike,
Well I doubt I'll do the OS reinstall! Acrobat works okay as long as I fire up the program before attempting to open a PDF document. I reckon I'll just add it to my start up items for now!
Thanks again,
Rich
PS Where are you? Do you have broadband and an iSight?

Re: Acrobat Pro 6 updater...
Rich,
Broadband sometimes and iSight no. If it all works ok if Acrobat is
loaded first I wonder if it has to do with Apple's security update that
requires approval the first time a certain file type is opened. Perhaps
something is interfering with it. Do you have Norton Antivirus or
Security Suite installed?
