Default Acrobat Pro 7 on Mac Pro crashes when accessing preferences + more

A couple of problems with Acrobat Pro 7 (tried v7.0.8, then tried downgrading to 7.0).

    - trying to edit an image embedded within a PDF file will crash the program
    - if it doesn't crash the program, it doesn't pass the file off to Photoshop
    - trying to acces preferences through Acrobat will crash

Anyone else experiencing this? On Intel hardware or otherwise?

have you tried deleting your Acrobat prefs file? It's probably corrupt.

Yes, I tried that, but it didn't work. Strangely, a reboot of the system fixed the preferences problem, but not the image editing problem.

Does anyone recall an update to Photoshop to fix this problem? Or was that another problem? I vaguely recall an update to one of the Photoshop versions needimg a [atch to fix this image editing hand-off problem. Its possible that I am remembering a fix for the problem where the image was moved to the lower left hand corner of the page after the temp file was saved in Photoshop.

9.0.1 fixed an image placement problem. There was never a crashing problem.

I just spent about an hour on the phone with Adobe and it appears the problem is a Mac Pro issue. They weren't aware of the problem. Everything works fine on an Intel Mac (they tried it while I waited). They didn't have a Mac Pro, but mine has a clean install of everything and we ruled out all other possible causes. Acrobat just seems to be unable to pass any object on to Photoshop or Illustrator. It doesn't crash, it just doesn't do anything.
Fortunately I kept my G5 and have it connected to a switch box for just such problems. I was afraid I was going to be a guinea pig with the Mac Pro - I just love finding all the bugs!
