Acrobat Pro 7 Print driver - no output
I'm not exactly sure when this started happening, but selecting the Adobe PDF 7.0 driver from my printer list no longer lets me create PDF files from MS Office documents (I can still create PDFs from my scanner and open existing PDFs for mods. The log showed me an error that it couldn't find one of the settings files (which were all sitting in the right place).
I tried running the uninstaller from the CS2 disk set and then the re-installer will not give me the option to re-install Acrobat Pro 7--it says that it's already installed. Neither do I have the option to intall the entire suite (not that I would really want to). At this point, the only way I can print to PDF is to use the OSX (10.4.8) options and loose the control that the Distiller gives me. Before I uninstalled Acrobat, I gave the Self Repair feature a chance to redeem itself, but it failed.
What I think I'd really like to do is use the Acrobat uninstaller to blow everything away and get the CS2 install package to freshen everything up and hopefully fix things. My other option would be to declare that I am sick of this s*** and buy Acrobat 8.
Any suggeston would be more than welcome. I've killed more time on this one than I deserve.
I'm running a dual G5 tower with os 10.4.8 with more RAM and drive space than you'd want to hear about.
